I recently came up with an idea for a ds106 assignment that’s called, “Flashing Neon GIF.” It’s a simple concept that involves creating a GIF and adding stylized text that’s been created in a vector editor to some of the frames of the GIF.
Also, I’m trying to recollect the process of submitting an original assignment idea to the ds106 assignment bank. If memory serves it takes between 24 and 48 hours for the assignment to get reviewed, approved and entered into the system.
By the time that happens, I plan on having a better example file and a more appropriate blog post which incorporates the proper ds106 tags. And then I hope to prepare a couple of tutorials that show one approach to completing the assignment.
Thanks to Alan for letting me know via comments that the assignment approval is instantaneous. Unfortunately I’m heading out to record some audio so I might not be able to post the first example version of the assignment with proper tagging. If you’d like the honor, the proper tags are listed on the new assignment page.
